Company

Clockwork Dog is a services agency providing interactive solutions and show control systems to the immersive theatre and live gaming industries.

Our mission is to advance the practice of delivering live interactive experiences by offering innovative, reliable and accessible tools for producers, creatives and technicians.

As well as selling our hardware and software product COGS directly to customers via our website, we offer full-service production, providing design, installation, programming and maintenance of interactive solutions for live events.

Recent and current projects include Bridge Command (Parabolic Theatre), Wishmas (Secret Cinema), The Paddington Bear Experience (The Path Entertainment Group), Viola’s Room (Punchdrunk), The Mind of Moriarty (Sherlock: The Game Is Now) and Peaky Blinders (Immersive Everywhere).

Role

We are seeking an experienced Production / Project Manager to support the production services side of the business, reporting to the Head of Production.

The Production / Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management for the planning and delivery of live event production projects. The majority of our projects are immersive theatre shows, but we’ve also recently worked with escape rooms, mini golf courses and brand activations.

We are looking for a hard-working, dynamic, and organised individual to join our small but growing team. The successful candidate will work well within teams, will be able to take responsibility and adapt quickly, will have a good working knowledge of industry standards, and will care about completing jobs to a high standard for our clients and partners. This will be a hands-on client-facing role.

While all projects use Clockwork Dog’s proprietary hardware / software - COGS - projects also involve the use of third-party hardware and software, as well as custom-built solutions.

Experience with COGS or other interactive hardware and / or electronics solutions is not required - but if you have any experience on working on projects incorporating interactive electronics, microcontrollers etc., we’d love to hear about them!

We are keen to build a team reflective of a wide range of experiences, backgrounds and personalities. However you identify and whatever your background, we would welcome your application to Clockwork Dog.

If there are any reasonable adjustments that would help support you in your application, please do let us know when you apply.

Our Company Values

  • Excellence - We value the high quality of our work, and believe that by constantly holding ourselves to high standards we ensure our continued success and are able to deliver on our core company vision and mission.

  • Ingenuity - We believe that the key to our success is by innovating in new ingenious ways, whether that’s in our internal processes, technology or the ways we communicate with our clients or users.

  • Playfulness - The end product for our clients is often to create worlds, games and environments for play so we see our work as an extension of that. We see problem solving as an exploration rather than a road block. This ties into an ability to find humour and fun within our work and with how we deal with each other and our clients. Often we discover new ideas and techniques through playing around.

  • Integrity - We strive to be honest and consistent in our work, as well as with each other and our clients. This ties into having firm moral beliefs such as sustainability, working with charities and a balance between work and play.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing the successful day-to-day delivery of assigned production projects from contract sign-off through final execution.

  • Being the main point of contact for day-to-day production queries about our projects.

  • Providing experience and knowledge to projects to ensure that our work enables creative and technical innovation in a safe and practical way that represents good value for our clients.

  • Preparing and communicating plans, schedules, H&S documentation and technical solutions that serve our clients’ needs.

  • Communicating about the scope of our work, ensuring that our scope is suitable and practical.

  • Working with the Head of Production to assign resources to projects as required.

  • Managing the work of internal team resources and external freelancers in the execution of projects.

  • Providing leadership to our onsite teams, actively managing them and third-party suppliers.

  • Providing onsite relationship management with clients and partners, always listening to their needs and collaborating with them to solve any problems.

  • Adapting to changes and making decisions to support projects through their onsite process.

  • Monitoring project budgets and schedules to ensure that they remain within budget and timeline.

  • Following the company’s Health and Safety policies and ensuring that team members meet the same expectation.
